Well-known in the Gaylord, Michigan community, Big Buck Brewery was taken over in 2018 by Cathy and Shawn Smalley, longtime homebrewers, with a vision to make the brewery better than ever. Part of that vision includes a website that highlights all that Big Buck Brewery has to offer. Guests can check out live music schedules, inquire about private and catered events, purchase gift cards and an assortment of merch like t-shirts, hoodies and pint glasses.

Located just off the Illinois river in the city of Peoria, Bearded Owl Brewing offers its guests prairie-inspired handcrafted ales, alongside a menu of pizza and Bavarian pretzels. The “Origin Story” page of the website tells the rich narrative of how Bearded Owl Brewing got its name when its founder encountered a great horned owl in an abandoned barn on a father-and-son camping trip. The website design evokes this narrative with an earth-toned color scheme, an illustrated evergreen silhouette in the footer navigation and clever animation of skeletons drinking beer next to a fire.

Ike & Oak Brewing Co. is a brewpub based out of Woodridge, Illinois serving handcrafted brews and artisan pizzas. Their branding and logo are front and center, making this website fun and informative. This Pennsylvania brewery chose a simple but effective layout centered around a carousel of high-resolution images that feature their brewery and restaurant's rustic-chic design. Entertainment being paramount to a good time, Riverside Brewing Co. shows robust listings for upcoming events to keep guests up-to-date on the latest happenings. And reservations aren't the only kind of booking the site is involved with; the company also added an inquiry form for local musicians who are interested in performing to fill out.

New Holland Brewing Co. is based in Holland, Michigan but has expanded to five locations across The Great Lake State. The website for this classic brewery features ample information about the business and a personal-touch origin story from CEO and founder Brett Vanderkamp. We can’t help but love their careers page, which recruits new team members with ample information about the company's mission, benefits and culture.

The creative layout of this website puts hi-res images of the company's unique offerings front and center, with a simple side-panel navigation bar directing the viewer's attention to a photo gallery featuring their wide array of products, from mouth-watering burgers to bottled cocktails. This website does a great job of feeling rich with information while utilizing a streamlined, fairly minimalistic structure.

Clean lines, beautiful colors, design-forward branding: this website is simply stunning. The aesthetic, including typography and photography, establishes a cohesive experience that is sophisticated yet approachable. At Moody Tongue, their philosophy of brewing beer comes from a chef’s mindset: highlighted flavors, aromatics and balance. The brewery also is home to a fine-dining experience with nine-time Michelin-starred Executive Chef Jared Wentworth at the helm. Yes, please!

Established in Missoula, Montana, Gild Brewing is a destination for those who value community, quality and knowing where their food and drink come from. Illustrated borders add to the website’s unique character while a sticky “Store” button pushes guests to easily purchase merch and more when viewing on a mobile device.

Located in Moraga, California just outside of San Francisco, Canyon Club Brewery prides itself on being “The Third Place” — the place apart from your home and work where people exchange ideas, have a good time and build relationships. Their website emulates this idealogy through a cohesive online experience—all with an embedded events calendar, even a page dedicated to purchasing tickets to events directly through their website. Canyon Club Brewery takes “The Third Place” idealogy and continues that online.

1940’s Brewing Co. in Holbrook, New York is an homage to the very year that owner Charles Becker’s father graduated from brewing academy and dedicated his career to the craft. The brewery’s branding exhibits this nostalgic and rustic identity. This website stands out to us for its use of a side navigation bar and strong call-to-action buttons to view what’s on tap and the chance to sign up for their newsletter.
